Coca-Cola System Responds to Hurricane Katrina »

October 24

Over the past several days, Coca-Cola North America (CCNA) and Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) have prepared for the expected arrival of Hurricane Wilma in south Florida. While our Supply Chain Operations implemented hurricane contingency plans, toll-free numbers were set up by CCNA plants for employees to call in for information. Chilled and frozen Minute Maid® juice products and base were shipped to CCNA locations outside of Florida, customer orders were expedited in advance of the hurricane and some raw materials inventories were increased. In addition, we have helped prepare for hurricane relief hydration needs with three truckloads of 1-gallon PET water to supplement the existing hurricane inventory in Jacksonville and approximately 77,000 cases of unbranded drinking water from CCE that can be used for hurricane relief if needed.
